There will be a Cardiff Field of Remembrance at Cardiff Castle to commemorate Remembrance Sunday and Remembrance Day in 2022. It will be a place where people can pay their respects to those who lost their lives during conflicts.
Remembering all those who fought for their country during World War One, World War Two, and other conflicts, the field will be a place where people can come to pay their respects. The field will open on Thursday, November 3 and close on Thursday, November 17.
Rows of crosses with the names of those who have died, in some cases written by family members, will adorn the castle grounds in front of the castle. The field will be free to enter and open from 9am to 5pm. You can keep up to date with the latest What's On news by signing up to the newsletter here.

If attending the opening service it is advised to arrive at the castle before 10.30am. The field has been organised by the Royal British Legion and it is not the first time the Remembrance Field has taken place at Cardiff Castle.
The Remembrance Field has taken place at Cardiff Castle previously, providing people in Cardiff with the space to reflect and pay their respects. There will also be Remembrance Services taking place across Cardiff and Wales on the weekend of Saturday, November 12 and Sunday, November 13.
Meanwhile, the Wales Festival of Remembrance is at St David's Hall in Cardiff on Saturday, November 4. The festival is in aid of the Royal British Legion and will focus on 40 years since the end of the Falklands Conflict and the ongoing support and sacrifice of our Armed Forces Community across the past year.
