A mum-of-four went into hospital to get herself checked out after feeling unwell and never came home.
Kirstie Campbell's sudden death devastated her family, who were expecting her to return after a few days under medical observation..
She has been described as a truly "remarkable" woman by her family who are now rallying round the heartbroken children.
But just just two days after being admitted to hospital, the of the 34-year-old, who suffered from diabetes, lost her life despite the best attempts of doctors.
Her four children and their dad Michael, who live in Camp Hill, Nuneaton, have been left to try to come to terms with the tragic loss, CoventryLive reports.
His sister Kerry Charnell has set-up a fundraising page to ensure the much-loved mum is given the send off "she deserves" while supporting her family.
"Kirstie had diabetes, she had been feeling unwell and went into hospital on the Friday," the sister-in-law said.
"The kids were expecting her to come home that night and she didn't, she passed away on the Sunday."
That was less than two weeks ago and now Kerry and the rest of the family are trying to support her brother and the children, the youngest being just four.
"They are so young, too young to be left without their mum," Kerry added.
"But I am absolutely stunned at how well the children are coping with it. Michael is devastated, you just don't expect to be left without your partner."
A GoFundMe page has now been set up to support the family financially.
"I can't fix it for them, I wish I could," Kerry said. "I am trying to be there for the kids and I just thought that if I could just help them and help Michael, then that is the least I can do.
"With Christmas coming up and the cost of living, everything is costing so much more. I just wanted to take some pressure off Michael and help him and the kids and do something for Kirstie too.
"She was a truly remarkable lady and deserves a proper send off."
