Relief for desperate family as missing Thornbury dad found safe

Missing dad Chad Hicks was found late on Wednesday night and his relieved family has thanked everyone for their help in getting the word out and helping with the search. The 38-year-old from Thornbury had been last seen early on Monday morning.

His relieved wife Natalie said they wanted to thank everyone who had shared his missing appeal on social media. She said: “He was found late last night (Wednesday) by a friend, he was found safe and is getting the help he needs.

“Thank you to everyone for sharing posts and for searching for him and for getting him back safely. Can I ask everyone to respect his space while he gets himself into a better place,” she said.

The family had made an emotional appeal after Chad disappeared on Monday morning with Natalie appealing for help, saying: “He’s got a little boy who wants him home safe.” The appeal was shared widely, particularly among community groups in Bristol and surrounding areas.

Natalie’s post on this morning confirming Chad had been found safe was welcomed with many messages of support for the family. Avon and Somerset Police have also confirmed that he was safely found.
