Reiss Nelson reveals Arsenal training inquest following dramatic Bournemouth win amid big errors

Arsenal hero Reiss Nelson has confirmed that Arsenal will launch a mini-inquest into the mistakes they made during Saturday's 3-2 win over Bournemouth.

The Cherries took an early lead at the Emirates Stadium through Phillip Billing, who netted the second-fastest goal in Premier League history, beating goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale in the opening ten seconds. Gary O'Neil's side then doubled their advantage in the second half thanks to a Marcos Senesi header.

But the Gunners refused to give up, with quick-fire finishes from Thomas Partey and Ben White levelling the scoreline at 2-2 before Nelson fired an incredible left-footed strike past Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto in the 97th minute to complete the comeback. The Hale End academy graduate was of course extremely upbeat after the match but did admit that Mikel Arteta's side will be analysing their errors on the training ground this week.

“We are going to keep going, game by game, day by day,” he said when asked about the ongoing title race. “We will watch the game back, see all the things we did wrong and put that right.”

The victory means that the north London outfit remain five points clear at the top of the table, with second-placed Manchester City also winning on Saturday, defeating Newcastle United 2-0. Next up for Arteta and co is a trip to Portugal, where they will take on Sporting CP in the first leg of their Europa League round of 16 clash.
