Rehabbing Kyler Murray gets top-10 QB votes in ESPN poll

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is rehabbing his right knee, hoping to come back from his torn AC as quickly as possible.

Uncertainty surrounds him and his play.

As such, Murray does not crack ESPN’s rankings of the NFL’s top 10 quarterbacks, based on votes by team executives, coaches and scouts.

He also does not receive honorable mention.

However, he did receive votes as a top-10 quarterback.

Murray is coming off a disappointing season. He got hurt. He had his lowest passer rating (87.2) since entering the league.

Many of the passing metrics he excelled in declined, like his deep-ball efficiency.

Even still, the talent is there and, when healthy, is right there as a top-10 guy with the potential of being in the top five.

After Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers, the quarterbacks that come next in annual rankings all tend to move around.

Murray can be part of that conversation but he has to come back from the injury and play at a high level again.

He maintained an MVP-level of play for a stretch of 2020 and for about half the season in 2021.

The great unknown is whether he will return to that form after coming back from his knee injury.
