Reggie Wayne compared the Colts to his kids in funny response to fans wanting Lamar Jackson

Reggie Wayne is an all-time great Indianapolis Colts wide receiver. That status apparently hasn’t afforded him much sway when it comes to roster construction.

The Colts need a quarterback, and there happens to be an MVP-winning quarterback by the name of Lamar Jackson looking to be traded to a new team. Naturally, Colts fans want him in Indy.

In their desperation, they’ve apparently taken to badgering Wayne on social media to make it happen. But in his second-year as the team’s wide receivers coach, he let them know in the funniest way possible he has absolutely no way of making that happen.

“I’m still trying to get my kids to listen to me… Let alone a organization,” Wayne said in the most relatable tweet of the day.

In all seriousness, Colts brass shouldn’t need Wayne or anybody else to convince them Jackson would be worth their time to pursue. But judging by team owner Jim Irsay’s recent comments about fully guaranteed contracts, it’s not going to happen.
