Refill water bottles for free at more than 100 places in Newcastle City Centre

With a heat warning on its way, you're going to want to make sure you stay hydrated.

It's a smart idea - both for you and the environment - to have a refillable water bottle to hand when heading out and about in the sun.

There are at least 300 places in Newcastle where you can fill up a bottle of water for free, according to the Refill campaign, which is backed by Northumbrian Water. The city centre has around 100.

Among them are well-known chains like Greggs, Costa and Starbucks, along with museums, pubs, and independent cafes. You can use the Refill app to find them or check for the campaign's blue and white window stickers.
