Premier League referee Anthony Taylor is set to be part of a new trial involving VAR as officials will be forced to explain their decisions.
The system has once again been under the spotlight this season due to a number of contentious decisions both in the Premier League and World Cup. Fans have been calling for more clarity on calls like in rugby.
It could all be set to change with a new trial in the works. The Times understand, a trial authorised by IFAB will see officials at next month’s FIFA Club World Cup in Morocco explain why they came to the conclusion they did to the crowd in stadiums via microphones.
