Reece James posts cryptic message on Instagram following Chelsea injury scare vs AC Milan

Chelsea's win over AC Milan on Tuesday couldn't have gone much better for Graham Potter and his side. For the second week in a row, the Blues made light work of the Serie A champions and they are now top of their Champions League group with just two matches to play.

The only negative to come out of Chelsea's 3-0 win over Milan last week was the injury picked up by Wesley Fofana, and there was once again another injury concern for the Blues from the game at San Siro. Reece James was forced off with an issue in the second half, leaving Chelsea and England supporters crossing everything that he soon returns to full fitness.

The defender was left holding his knee following a collision with Theo Hernandez. The severity of James' injury is still unknown, although a report from the Telegraph suggests that it is not serious.

Immediately after the game, James posted on Twitter, saying that he had his 'fingers crossed' that it wasn't a bad injury. He said: "Fingers crossed it's not a bad one. Love for all the messages, I appreciate you all."

On Thursday, James posted a slightly more mysterious message on social media, which may or may not have related to his injury concerns. Potter is likely to give an update on James' injury in his press-conference ahead of Sunday's clash with Aston Villa.
