This week has been the period whereby both Reece James and his sister Lauren James have come under the microscope further for their performances for the England national team and Chelsea Women respectively.
Both lived up to the high standards that many fans have become accustomed to in recent times. Nigel James' son, just like the whole team, struggled for the Three Lions in Milan but responded in the latter parts of the 3-3 Germany draw with an assist for Luke Shaw's goal.
Meanwhile, Emma Hayes, after giving Lauren a period of adjustment to life within Chelsea Women, let the shackles off the 20-year-old as she showed her quality against Man City Womenin their 2-0 WSL victory at Kingsmeadow.
Both players are key to the future of Chelsea under new owner Todd Boehly and the American has shown his belief in Reece, in particular, with a six-year contract extension.

The 22-year-old, who is on a rest day after the England-Germany fixture on Tuesday night, Is set to return to Cobham later this week as Graham Potter's side gear up to take on a misfiring Crystal Palace outfit at Selhurst Park.
James has only experienced Thomas Tuchel's successor for little time with the RB Salzburg Champions League draw the first outing he and his teammates made under Potter's new coaching set-up, so what are his early impressions?
"In football, things happen very fast. I’ve played against Graham Potter’s teams a number of times and he seems like a good guy so far," he told Chelsea's official website. "He’s hungry to win and I think it’s going to be an exciting future."
Chelsea full-backs in recent times, especially under Tuchel and his predecessor Frank Lampard, were relied upon heavily for goals as evidenced by the 30 contributions England's current first-choice right-back has attained for his club.
But out of the 20 scored since 2019, which is the former Wigan Athletic loanee's favourite?
He added: "Probably the one in the 4-4 draw with Ajax felt the best. It was my first Champions League goal and that game was so crazy. We were down 4-1 and if we had said at that point that we were going to come back and draw, I think we would have been written off. On top of that, it was my first goal in Europe and I was so young as well.
"It’s electric when you celebrate goals like that – you score and then you can see the joy and excitement from the fans as well – it’s a great feeling."
Mason Mount alongside James have a Champions League title to their names already at their relatively young age but the scope for more has been there but losses in the FA Cup finals against Leicester City and Liverpool coupled with Carabao Cup defeats to the Reds and Man City has meant that four potential more successes have slipped through the hands of the Chelsea players. Amid talk of a so-called Wembley curse, James has insisted that the trend itself needs to be corrected under Potter.
"The last few years have been good, but we’ve been to finals where we’ve lost as well," he continued. "We want to win every competition we enter, and if we get to the final, there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be going all the way. There have been a few where we’ve got there, but there have also been a few domestic trophies that we haven’t picked up, which needs to change."
