Jamie Redknapp has claimed that Mason Mount and Reece James were let down by Kai Havertz's missing 'killer instinct' against Manchester United. Chelsea were held to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford after Cristiano Ronaldo pulled the Red Devils level moments after Marcos Alonso notched the Blues ahead.
Thomas Tuchel's side began in the ascendency and overran United, but, despite Havertz's guilt-edged opportunities, the west Londoners failed to capitalise on their dominance in the first half. Alonso handed the west Londoner's the lead after a quarter of an hour into the second half.
Chelsea were left to quickly rue the Germany international's succession of missed chances after Ronaldo levelled proceedings for Ralf Rangnick's side just moments later. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner's effort was his first-ever career goal against the Blues in the Premier League.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Redknapp threw the Germany international under the spotlight and explained how Havertz let Chelsea down in the first half. After just 37 minutes, the 22-year-old tallied an eye-watering 0.91 expected goals from three shots.
The former Liverpool midfielder said: "That chance for Havertz, he has to score there one on one with David De Gea, he has not got that killer instinct in front of goal.
"The movement before is great, but can he finish that, but he can’t. The number of times they have got in down that left-hand side.
"There is not enough energy from [Alex] Telles and [Marcus] Rashford," Redknapp added. "So it has been far too easy for Reece James and Mason Mount, they have had so much time on the ball."
Roy Keane added by shunning United's performance, highlighting the severity of Havertz's missed chances. The former Manchester United midfielder said: "It’s like Chelsea are a top team and Manchester United are a Championship or a League One team.
"They are up against a top team, it is like an FA Cup match. Maybe they are short on quality and happy to stay in the game. Out of the two sides, they will be delighted that the score is still 0-0. It has been torturous for Manchester United."
