The internet is littered with hilarious video clips of gender reveals gone wrong. Now, the sports world has submitted an epic whiff for inclusion.
Boston Red Sox great David Ortiz and his significant other, María Yeribell Martínez, are expecting a baby, and they recently arranged a baseball-themed event to announce the gender of the forthcoming bundle of joy. Presumably, Martínez was supposed to gently lob a ball to Ortiz, and the longtime Boston slugger would smash the ball into little blue or pink dust.
That’s not quite how it worked out.
Instead, she busted him inside on the hands. And Big Papi whiffed badly.
