Literally everyone was wearing this colour at London Fashion Week

How to style red street style.

With a new season round the corner, I'm always on the lookout for something that will brighten up my wardrobe after months of wearing dark and neutral colours.

And with London Fashion Week serving up some great looks on and off the catwalk, I've just been served with plenty of sartorial inspiration.

While in New York, everyone was turning to the pink trend, in London, I saw an equally colourful hue dominate the wardrobes of editors and influencers.

Ladies and gentlemen, the red fashion trend is alive and well, and is, in fact, getting bigger, bolder, and better for Spring/Summer 2025. From chic red jackets to statement tights, there were pops of colour everywhere, a welcome break from the grey skies and relentless rain.

The hue is a great way to add a dose of dopamine to your everyday basics, and if you aren't sure of how to wear read, here are 5 looks I spotted that will help.

Red accessories

The easiest - and more budget-friendly - way to dip your toe into the trend is through accessories. Red tights effortlessly lift an oversized denim jacket or grey blazer, paired with chunky loafers.

Statement red dress

A statement red dress isn't one for wallflowers, however you'd be surprised how easily you can style it, pairing it with tone down accessories in monochrome hues. Or you can take a leaf out of this editor's book and carry the same print - in this case polka dots - throughout the outfit.

Red jacket

A bold red jacket is the perfect way to update a classic black dress or suit. Opt for a an oversized, tailored fit or textured style.

Head-to-toe

Head-to-toe colour is a fail-safe outfit formula to fall back on any time of the year. Editor Rosie Lai looked ultra chic in red trousers and a matching shirt, paired with a black leather trench coat and pointed heels. Extra sartorial points for the matching sunglasses.

Pop of red

If you aren't one for the head-to-toe approach, you can pair things down somewhat by focusing on one item of clothing. I love this red skirt, and the echoing pops of red on the shoes and tie (FYI shirts and ties are huge right now too). Just throw on a shaggy coat and voila.
