Popular Liverpool bar Red Door has had to close temporarily due to a flood.
They released a statement which said the property, on Berry Street, suffered an overnight flood which has caused damage to the building. The extent of the damage is not yet known as the owners await a health and safety report and assess the level of repairs required.
The team at the bar have been working hard recently as they prepare a huge new terrace with a BBQ area. They plan to improve their alfresco dining experience for customers by adding an all-weather party and event space.

Matthew Laughton, operations director said: “Our team are obviously disappointed with this interruption to our operation, but our primary concern is always for our loyal and supportive guests, their safety is our main focus. We will endeavour to resolve this situation as soon as possible with minimal disruption and we will also use this time to ensure that our pending new terrace looks fantastic when we are ready to resume business."
He added: "We will work around the clock if necessary to make sure we can reopen safely as soon as possible.”
The Red Door team will keep customers updated via social media channels and look forward to announcing a re-opening date. The new terrace will also be unveiled as soon as it is safe to do so.
