Two Birmingham recruitment agencies have announced a joint venture which they said was aiming to create the region's largest logistics jobs firm by 2028.
The Jarell Group, a city centre-based workforce solutions specialist, has agreed the partnership with logistics recruitment firm Temp Source in Edgbaston.
They will be hoping to offer temporary and permanent roles to drivers, managers and warehouse operatives within the transport and logistics sectors.
As a result of the JV, Jarell Group's current group commercial director James Cronin will become executive chairman, working closely with Temp Source's joint managing directors Josh Allen and Aaron Hillman.
The partnership will also see a series of new recruitment roles created in 2023, with more than 500 professional HGV and light vehicle drivers registering in the past quarter alone, according to the companies.
Temp Source will not rebrand as part of the deal and the team will look to move from its offices in Hagley Road in the coming months to a new elsewhere site in Birmingham.
In addition to its base in Church Street, The Jarell Group has offices in Worcestershire, London, Leeds and Walsall and last year expanded by acquiring Nottingham firm KHS Personnel and Bridge Recruitment in York.
Mr Cronin said: "Josh and Aaron are rightly turning heads in the recruitment sector as they have ambitious plans and want Temp Source to be the number one logistics jobs provider.
"The logistics and transport industries are thriving at present and operators are craving quality, trained and trustworthy people to take on a whole host of roles.
"That's where recruiters with the best contacts and an eye for detail come in and why I think Temp Source will make a difference in the months and years as they want to provide genuine, highly-motivated people who have already passed rigorous testing.
"It is an exciting venture for us and I am delighted to be playing a key role in the strategy, development and delivery of the business going forward."
Mr Allen said: "Since we founded Temp Source in 2021, it has been our ambition to not only provide jobs and careers but placing the best people with the right companies while widening out opportunities.
"It's been a successful start but through our new joint venture with James and the team at Jarell Group, Aaron and I are certain it puts us on a perfect road for further growth. Ultimately, we want to be the region's largest logistics recruitment agency within five years.
"Working together to introduce new systems, processes and taking on the best people is vital to making that a reality so having the team at Jarell Group alongside us is a huge positive as we enter a new year."
Mr Hillman said: "Our new link up with James and the Jarell Group will take Temp Source to a whole new level, allow us to employ more people, offer more roles out to the market and ultimately make us a more attractive recruitment partner.
"Those looking to fill transport and logistics roles want quality, professional people who are passionate about what they do. It's those types of people we want to give the opportunities to."
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
