Record Early Voting Turnout In Georgia

People cast their ballot during early voting in South Carolina

Early voting is commencing this week in two crucial battleground states, with Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump intensifying their efforts to sway voters. Here are some key highlights from Tuesday:

Harris engaged in a radio town hall in Detroit, Michigan, where she addressed criticism of being perceived as overly scripted. Meanwhile, Trump, during an interview in Chicago, refrained from confirming any recent communication with Russian President Vladimir Putin and defended his proposal to impose significant tariffs on companies not manufacturing goods domestically.

During a Fox News town hall focused on women's issues, Trump expressed his belief that certain state abortion restrictions are excessively stringent and predicted they would be revised. He also referred to himself as the 'father of IVF' and defended his earlier comments proposing the use of the military to address internal threats on Election Day.

Two former presidents are set to campaign separately alongside Gov. Tim Walz in the upcoming week. Bill Clinton will join the Democratic vice presidential candidate in Durham, North Carolina, while Barack Obama will appear with Walz in Madison, Wisconsin.

Georgia has broken its early voting turnout record, as confirmed by the Secretary of State's office. Election officials also assured that absentee ballots were dispatched as planned by the US Postal Service and remained unaffected by recent hurricanes.

Upcoming events include Harris's first-ever interview on Fox News with anchor Bret Baier, a pre-taped town hall featuring Trump in Cumming, Georgia, and Trump's participation in a town hall moderated by Univision in Miami.
