Wolf & Badger, the fashion and gifts retailer, has reported record-breaking Christmas trade and reached its highest annual revenue figure since launching in London in 2010.
The company was founded by brothers Henry and George Graham in 2010, and sells products with a focus on ethically-sourced goods, online and from stores in King's Cross, New York and Los Angeles.
Unaudited figures show that in 2023 net revenue improved 15% to £34 million. It added that an underlying profit was achieved compared with a £5 million loss in the prior year when Wolf & Badger strategically targeted further growth and invested in opening a third flagship store.
In the five weeks to December 25 the firm experienced its busiest ever festive period.
It pointed to benefiting from increasing consumer demand from those looking for "alternative options to the dominant e-commerce giants".
We are delighted to have continued to deliver growth alongside profitability in 2023
Bestsellers at the firm's store in the capital during the festive period included a £28 'rock cake' apron and a £171 chunky necklace with a cross.
George Graham, chief executive of the company which is in the process of exploring further expansion opportunities, said: "We are delighted to have continued to deliver growth alongside profitability in 2023, despite undoubtedly challenging market conditions."
Wolf & Badger joins a host of firms that have recorded encouraging Christmas performances, such as nursery brand Mamas & Papas, while the outlet shopping division at the 02 centre experienced good footfall levels.
