Recap: OKC Blue can’t overcome 26-point deficit in 127-119 loss to Rip City Remix

The G League’s OKC Blue couldn’t overcome a 26-point deficit in their 127-119 loss to the Rip City Remix on Monday. The road loss drops the Blue to 2-8.

This was the second night of a road back-to-back for the Blue against the Remix. OKC also lost to Rip City on Sunday.

A slow start resulted in the Blue trailing 44-25 after one quarter. OKC used a 36-point second quarter to cut the deficit to 10, 71-61, entering halftime. The Remix extinguished any threats of a comeback with a 34-point third quarter and entered the final frame with a 105-82 lead.

The Blue made the game somewhat interesting in the final quarter with 37 points, but drew no closer than six before running out of time.

The Blue shot 45% from the field and went 16-of-37 (43.2%) from 3. Only 15 of their 40 baskets resulted in assists. Six players scored double-digit points.

Meanwhile, the Remix shot 50% from the field and went 16-of-46 (34.8%) from 3. They totaled 25 assists on their 43 baskets. Six players scored double-digit points.

Some notable individual performances for both sides:

  • Jahmi’us Ramsey: 26 points on 8-of-18 shooting, 2-of-7 from 3, 12 rebounds, two steals
  • Jaden Shackelford: 20 points on 6-of-12 shooting, 6-of-11 from 3
  • Adam Flagler: 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting, 4-of-7 from 3, four rebounds, three assists
  • Logan Johnson: 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting, six rebounds, two steals
  • George Conditt IV: 22 points on 6-of-8 shooting, 6-of-7 on free throws
  • Ashton Hagans: 20 points on 6-of-11 shooting, 2-of-4 from 3, seven rebounds, seven assists
  • Jazian Gortman: 19 points on 7-of-14 shooting, 3-of-9 from 3, five assists
  • Antoine Davis: 19 points on 6-of-16 shooting, 6-of-13 from 3, four rebounds, three assists
