Rebel Wilson is said to have felt a huge sense of relief after publicly sharing news she has a new girlfriend.
The Senior Year actress, 42, reportedly wasn't 100 per cent ready to come out to the world, but feels a newfound freedom since doing so.
A source told Us Weekly the star is "very happy all around" with her new relationship, body confidence and successful career.
Speaking about the Australian's mindset since revealing her new relationship, the source added: "Even though she wasn’t completely ready to come out to the whole world, she’s glad she did and that she was the one to share something so personal to her."
They described the "huge weight off of her shoulder" since revealing the news and continued: "She’s relieved that she can share photos and these happy moments with her fans."
Rebel and Ramona Agruma went public with their relationship in June after a news outlet had reportedly threatened to out her the day before.
The Bridesmaids star labelled her girlfriend a "Disney princess," while sharing a sweet snap of the pair together.
Following her announcement, Rebel went on to acknowledge how difficult it had been emotionally knowing that someone else was preparing to share her news before she was ready.
She confessed their pressure left her with no other choice but to make the announcement herself.
Speaking after the journalist who was ready to break the news expressed his anger at her trying to "gazump the story," Rebel thanked her fans for their positive comments.
The outlet went on to make an apology for the situation and claimed they will "learn from" their mistakes.
Rebel and Ramona have been getting to know each other better on a trip to Europe. Last month they took in the sights in Italy, Turkey and various other countries across the continent.
Rebel posted a selection of snaps to her Instagram of their time in Turkey, including one in which she was cuddled up to her girlfriend while waiting for their breakfast by the pool.
Elsewhere, fashionista Ramona shared a glimpse at their incredible breakfast spread which the couple enjoyed in the pool on a floating tray.
She wrote in the caption: "New dream vacation destination."
They were said to have "had a blast" on the multi-country trip and the source added: "Rebel loves how down-to-earth Ramona is and that they have a lot in common.
"They’re taking things slow, but are excited to see what the future holds. Friends are really happy for Rebel and are supportive of her new relationship."
