Rebekah Vardy 'won't appeal Wagatha Christie ruling' after Coleen Rooney's victory

Rebekah Vardy has reportedly decided against appealing the High Court verdict in the Wagatha Christie trial, which ruled in favour of Coleen Rooney.

I'm A Celeb star Rebekah, 40, effectively lost the headline-grabbing trial earlier this year after Mrs Justice Steyn concluded that "significant parts" of Vardy's evidence were not credible and there were many occasions when her evidence "was manifestly inconsistent with the contemporaneous documentary evidence, evasive or implausible".

Following the verdict, Rebekah released a statement to share her "disappointment" as she said in a statement: "I am extremely sad and disappointed at the decision that the Judge has reached. It is not the result that I had expected, nor believe was just. I brought this action to vindicate my reputation and am devastated by the Judge’s finding."

Despite her devastation, Becky has now decided she will not be appealing the ruling made by Mrs Justice Steyn.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: "It’s all over and Becky wants to move on.

"She is extremely frustrated with lawyers and the legal process so hell would freeze over before she wanted to go back into court."

Rebekah is said to be enjoying "being a mother and a wife" at the moment following the nearly-three year-long ordeal after Coleen accused Rebekah of leaking stories from her private Instagram account to the press.

Jamie Vardy's wife was pregnant with her youngest daughter Olivia when Coleen made the explosive claims in a lengthy social media statement. Olivia is now two.

The insider added: "Becky is enjoying spending time with her and her other children — and does not want another legal fight to get in the way."

Meanwhile, Coleen has recently signed a big money deal with Disney+ to share her side of the Wagatha Christie story.

The three-part documentary series was confirmed by the streaming platform earlier this month after the Mirror reported last year that Coleen was "advanced talks" with Lorton Entertainment to make "explosive" documentary about her legal battle with Rebekah Vardy.

Describing the project they wrote in an announcement: "The three-part series will take viewers from the circumstances that led to her infamous Instagram post that ‘broke the Internet’ all the way to Coleen being a successful defendant in one of the UK’s highest-profile High Court defamation cases brought against her by Rebekah Vardy.

"In a story for our times, Wagatha Christie will reveal how fiercely determined and resilient Coleen had to be in order to protect her family from the challenges presented by the traditional and social media landscapes."

Rebekah is considering offers to create her own doc (TALK TV)

Following the news Rebekah, who did a TV interview about the Wagatha Christie trial last month, is also considering two offers to make her own documentary.

A friend of Rebekah’s told the Mirror: "The show will document her emotional turmoil both before, during and after her court case, which is ongoing to this day."

They added that it won’t feature any footage surrounding the trial itself.
