Rebekah Vardy 'to leave UK' after Wagatha Christie libel trial - reports

Rebekah Vardy and her Leicester City striker husband Jamie are planning to relocate to the United States, reports suggest. She had come under-fire over the Wagatha Christie libel trial against Coleen Rooney but it is thought that the Vardys were making plans to move before the case came to court.

The pair are thought to have had enough of the UK and the no matter the outcome of the trial, they will be looking to move stateside as soon as they possibly can, The Sun says. The expensive court case is heading towards a conclusion and a source told The Sun that Rebekah is "keen to be out of the country as fast as possible.”

Rebekah, who brought the case against Coleen over claims that she had leaked stories about her, has been looking increasingly more emotional as the days in court rack up, reports the Mirror. Alongside her husband Jamie, Rebekah left court early on Tuesday (17 May) before an IT expert said during his testimony that Rebekah's account had not been hacked and that messages to her agent were "manually deleted"

Cyber expert Matt Blackband told the court that Rebekah had changed her Instagram password five days after Coleen's Wagatha Christie reveal post. Mr Blackband said that the password had been changed at 3.23am on October 14 2019 and told the court: "From what we have seen there is no evidence of a compromise on that account.''

Mrs Rooney's barrister, David Sherborne said two batches of WhatsApp messages between Rebekah Vardy and Caroline Watt had been lost. Mrs Vardy has said the first group - between 2017 and 2019 - vanished when she tried to send them to her solicitor.

Mr Sherborne asked what was the most likely explanation for the absence of WhatsApp messages between October 15 2019 25 July 2020. Mr Blackband replied: "Based on the information provided I would suggest it's a manual deletion.''

Mr Sherborne said Rebekah had suggested they must have been lost when she got a new phone. Mr Blackband replied: "There is no indication there was a new device on that date.'' The trial continues.
