Rebekah Vardy says 'nasty b****' insult was aimed at Danielle Lloyd not Coleen Rooney

Rebekah Vardy has admitted that her 'nasty b****' comment was directed at someone other than Coleen Rooney.

Vardy insisted that she was actually talking about model Danielle Lloyd as the 'Wagatha Christie' libel trial continued into it's second day. Since the trial began, there have already been several bombshell claims.

Coleen Rooney accused Rebekah's Instagram account of leaking 'false stories' about her private life in October 2019 after carrying out a months-long 'sting operation'. Now, Vardy - who denies allegations she leaked Rooney's private messages - is suing for libel over the 'untrue and unjustified defamatory attack', reported The Mirror.

Today Vardy denied calling Mrs Rooney a 'nasty b***h' in a message to former agent Caroline Watt. She said: "I think it was Danielle Lloyd."

In the message exchange, Vardy told Mrs Watt: "I have taken a big dislike to her. She thinks she's amazing. Would love to leak those stories.''

Mrs Rooney's lawyer David Sherborne quizzed Vardy. He asked: "You have just told this court you did not leak any stories about Danielle Lloyd?'' to which Vardy responded: "I haven't.''

When asked what the stories were, she said it was 'just gossip and speculation'. She also denied leaking any stories about Lloyd.

He quizzed her on the messages she sent to Mrs Watt about a 'pregnant girl' on August 6,2019. She said: "It's about Danielle Lloyd."

Mr Sherborne then questioned why she didn't mention it previously, to which she insisted she only just recalled it. Asked if the fellow WAG was a friend, Vardy replied: "I would not say a friend. I had been to her house once and taken the kids to see her children. She is not someone in my circle.''

Vardy had messaged her agent Mrs Watt: "She has gone and done it now - leaked the Maldives stuff.'' The wife of Jamie Vardy was asked what the message meant and Vardy responded that Mrs Lloyd had given an interview about her 'Maldives honeymoon' and her 'unfortunate miscarriage'.

She agreed the message was worded 'badly' and 'leak' wasn't the 'right word'. She said: "It is Danielle Lloyd giving information and a story to press about herself."

Vardy then agreed with Mr Sherborne that she and Mrs Lloyd fell out after having an argument on Instagram over gender selection. Mr Sherborne said it ended with 'legal correspondence' but Vardy insisted she couldn't remember.

She denied she had been hoping to leak information about Lloyd and was just discussing Mrs Lloyd's article on the Maldives with pal Mrs Watt. Mr Sherborne then said: "This is all a lot of nonsense. You are just making this up, aren't you?'' Vardy replied: "No, not at all.''

When Mrs Rooney was conducting her 'sting operation', she uploaded fake stories about her travelling to Mexico to find more out about 'gender selection', her basement being flooded as well as her return to TV. All have been shared with The S*n.
