Rebekah Vardy's PR agent 'pleaded with her not to pursue Coleen Rooney legal battle'

Rebekah Vardy's PR agent pleaded with her not to pursue her legal battle with Coleen Rooney following the Wagatha Christie Instagram post.

A friend of Rebekah's ex agent Caroline Watt claims she begged her not to sue Coleen and move on.

Coleen's famous Instagram post in 2019, said Rebekah's account was leaking stories to The Sun newspaper.

The WAGs have now come head to head in the High Court, and Caroline is now the centre of attention alongside Rebekah and Coleen.

Rebekah who is married to footballer Jamie Vardy is in the process of suing Coleen for defamation.

And she was accused by Coleen's legal team of throwing Caroline "under the bus".

Friends of Caroline says they became concerned when the argument went down a legal route according to The Mail On Sunday.

One pal explained "She was determined that she was going to get her apology from Coleen at any cost, so she just kept going and going.

"Becky was warned it was going to get expensive and there was a lot of damaging correspondence between Caroline and herself, but it was like Becky was on a runaway train and there was nothing Caroline could do about it.

"It all got out of control. It was quite extraordinary for Caroline to see. She spent years advising Becky and being her friend, so she hoped that, on this one, she would listen to her. Alas, she didn't.'

Rebekah had said before "Caroline Watt is not the source." but since last month, she appeared to accept in her witness statement that Caroline may have been behind the story leaks.

Coleen's barrister David Sherbourne described it as a 'radical change'.

Caroline has been too ill to attend the trial but David Sherbourne told the court Caroline's phone which was to be searched for messages relating to the trial, had been dropped in the North Sea near Scotland during a boat trip

A "catalogue of unfortunate events" has taken place meaning potential evidence vanished.

Rebekah has also denied deliberately deleting WhatsApp texts between herself and Caroline before October 15, 2019.

On Thursday, Mr Sherbourne also accused Rebekah of roping in Caroline to do the 'dirty work'.

He said: "It not her that betrayed you as you suggest it is you that have betrayed her by throwing her under the bus.''

Rebekah replied: "That's a joke."
