Rebekah Vardy reveals vile death threats sent to husband Jamie amid Wagatha Christie trial

Rebekah Vardy has revealed how vile trolls sent sick death threats to husband Jamie as she battled her Wagatha Christie court case.

The mum-of-five, 40, slammed those involved and admitted she draws the line at people attacking her family during the libel case.

The WAG had went to the High Court after Coleen Rooney accused her Instagram account of leaking private messages from Instagram.

The court case had centred around whether Coleen was defaming Rebekah by claiming publicly that it was only her account that had seen several pieces of information which she posted on her private Instagram story, and then had been leaked.

Despite Rebekah maintaining her innocence throughout, the publicised High Court libel battle saw the verdict handed in Coleen's favour.

But the abuse her and her family faced during the long-running saga left Rebekah feeling devastated.

Speaking to The Sun, Rebekah said: "It doesn’t matter what people’s opinions are about me, they shouldn’t be attacking my husband or children. I draw the line when you subject them to vicious, disgusting hatred, and abuse my husband.

"This has nothing to do with him. It was these threats that got my attention and it is hurtful."

And Rebekah went on to show the publication a number of messages sent directly to her and her hubby, who plays football for Leicester City

One read: "You dirty f***ing slag. I hope Vardy’s leg gets broke (sic)," while another stated: "Hello Jamie, or should I call you p****.

"I cannot f***ing stand you and honestly the world would be so much better off if you broke your legs and gave up football."

Making reference to Rebekah's time in the jungle while appearing on I'm A Celebrity, a third message told the footy star: "You should’ve gone to the jungle and died of a snake bite instead."

Other messages showed people threatening Jame to Rebekah, telling her to tell the "cocky c**** people are after him."

The vile words left Rebekah feeling awful, but she praised her man for being so resilient.

Police have made three arrests as they continue to prob a number of communications toward the pair.

The revelations come at the same time Rebekah made her first TV appearance since the trial ended.

In it, she made a number of bombshell claims and broke down in tears.

The lengthy interview saw her speak to TalkTV's Kate McCann about the toll the case has had on her mental health, how her marriage has become stronger, and her plans to return to the public eye better than ever.
