Cyriel Dessers reportedly had TEN transfer offers in the winter window - but remained at Ibrox instead of sealing a loan switch.
The Rangers striker was reportedly the subject of significant loan interest last month but will stay in Glasgow for the foreseeable.
According to his agent Stijn Francis, Dessers could have left Rangers had it not been for the club favouring a permanent transfer over a loan deal.
The player's representative admitted the market is "much more difficult" in January as he opened up on the situation surrounding Dessers.
Francis told Voetbalnieuws, via Sporza: "There is still a lot of probing, but clubs are pushing much less.
"Look at Cyriel Dessers: he had ten offers, but the market is much more difficult at that time.

"Many wanted to rent him, but Rangers only wanted to sell.
"And that is not ideal for the player's focus."
Dessers said of his future at Rangers recently: "No talks [about my future] at all. I don't mind that. I try to focus on the football be the things that are happening on the pitch.
"Those are the things that I can control. And like Sunday, I'm just happy to be out there with the guys and fight for the points and be important. That's what I want.
"There's a lot of unfinished business at Rangers for me. That's also why I kept pushing in the last weeks, in the gym, in training, in the minutes that you get, that's because of that."
