A representative for reality TV star Chase Chrisley has denied an allegation that he assaulted the manager of a popular Atlanta sports bar last week after refusing to leave. The incident, which occurred at a Twin Peaks restaurant on Jan. 6, has been described as being 'blown out of proportion.'
According to an Atlanta police report, Chrisley, known for his role on the show 'Chrisley Knows Best,' was allegedly intoxicated and declined to depart when asked by the manager. It was reported that he slapped the manager twice in the face, with one of the slaps occurring while the manager was on the phone with 911, as per audio of the call that was released.
A representative for Chrisley, Adam Ambrose, stated that Chrisley had arranged for a driver to take him home that evening and was attempting to settle his tab and exit the establishment. Ambrose emphasized that Chrisley did not assault anyone.
The police report detailed that the manager described Chrisley's behavior as 'very disrespectful and belligerent,' noting that he repeatedly refused to leave and that the situation escalated, resulting in the slapping incident.
Chrisley left the scene with his driver before law enforcement arrived. Following his arrest on suspicion of simple battery, he was released on a $10,000 bond. Notably, Chrisley's parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, are currently incarcerated on charges related to bank fraud and tax evasion. In 2022, a jury found them guilty of conspiring to defraud community banks of over $30 million in fraudulent loans. Additionally, the elder Chrisleys were convicted of tax evasion for concealing their income.
