Real Madrid to launch £100m Harry Kane bid as Spurs ace eyed as Karim Benzema replacement

Real Madrid are plotting a sensational £100m move for Harry Kane.

‌The Spanish giants want Kane to replace Karim Benzema after Real Madrid confirmed he will leave the Bernabeu this summer after 14 years.

‌Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti wants them to move for Kane while they are also eyeing a move for Chelsea striker Kai Havertz to replace Benzema.

‌Kane, who will turn 30 next month, has just a year left on his contract at Tottenham.

‌Spurs chairman Daniel Levy does not want to sell and will demand in excess £100m to scare off potential interest.

‌Levy has been adamant that he will not sell to a Premier League rival and that looks set to thwart Manchester United ’s interest this summer.

‌But selling to a big foreign club may be more attractive but Kane is also desperate to break the Premier League’s goalscoring record.

‌England captain Kane has already made it clear that he is not interested in a move to Paris Saint Germain which might indicate his priority is to stay in the Premier League.

‌Kane is now just 47 goals behind Alan Shearer’s all time record of 260 goals in the Premier League and he also knows he would get even more lucrative offers if he stayed at Spurs for another 12 months and became a free agent.

‌Ancelotti has also identified Havertz as they want two forwards to come in this summer to replace Benzema who is set for a money-spinning move to Saudi Arabia and a deal worth in excess of £1m-a-week.

‌It now remains to be seen whether Real Madrid can turn Kane’s head and also tempt him to leave his beloved Tottenham this summer.

‌They are highly unlikely to agree to pay £100m for a player who turns 30 next month and has a year left on his contract but also know Levy is a tough negotiator.

‌Kane has remained loyal to Tottenham, the club are willing for him to run his contract into the final year but now Real Madrid look ready to test their resolve.
