Real Madrid Target Yan Couto Could Join Los Blancos

Real Madrid basketball

Real Madrid is reportedly eyeing a potential move for Yan Couto in the upcoming months. The young right back, currently on loan at Girona from Manchester City, has emerged as a target for the Los Blancos as they seek a successor for Dani Carvajal.

Despite a challenging outing against Real Madrid earlier this year, where Girona suffered a 4-0 defeat, Couto has shown resilience and continues to impress. The Brazilian player's contract with Manchester City is set to expire in mid-2025, opening up the possibility for a transfer to Real Madrid next summer.

There are speculations that Real Madrid could either wait for Couto's contract to run out or negotiate a transfer fee with Manchester City to secure his services earlier. Couto himself has expressed interest in joining Real Madrid, stating that he would consider the opportunity if presented.

However, Couto also emphasized his commitment to Manchester City, mentioning his dream of playing for the Premier League club. This leaves the door open for a potential extension of his stay at City, although a move to Real Madrid seems to be on the horizon.

In addition to Couto, his Girona teammate Savio is also rumored to be making a switch within the City Group clubs, further adding to the transfer speculations surrounding the two players.

As Girona looks set to secure Champions League football for the first time in the club's history, the future of Yan Couto remains uncertain. Whether he will stay at Manchester City, move to Real Madrid, or explore other options, only time will tell.
