Real Madrid supremo bigs Celtic up but sends a firm warning to Ange Postecoglou and Co

Bernabeu icon Emilio Butragueno insists Real Madrid are ready to silence Celtic's Champions League wall of noise on Tuesday night.

It will be the first time in five years Parkhead has hosted a group stage game and their first competitive match against Los Blancos since 1980. And former striker Butragueno - who is now a director with Madrid - believes his team will are primed and ready to take on the Premiership champions.

He said: "We know that Celtic in their stadium are very strong with the support of their public. And we know very well what they are like, but we are going there to win. We are the champions and we will give everything to defend that. It's a very special tournament for this club and our supporters." And Butragueno pinpointed the player he believes could cause Celtic problems - young Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, who was voted Man of the Match in Real's 2-1 weekend win over Real Betis.

He said: "He is a young man with a great personality, very competitive, he covers a lot of the pitch, a great talker, he is good in the air, he knows how to play. He has only just arrived and every time he plays, he will get to know his teammates better and he will be an even more important player for us. He will prove to be a very good signing."
