Toni Kroos has become the latest person to point out that Manchester City's Sergio Aguero statue isn't the closest resemblance to the legendary striker.
City revealed their permanent tribute to Aguero outside of the Etihad Stadium on Friday exactly 10 years on from his, and the Premier League's, most iconic goal which clinched the Blues their first Premier League title triumph in 2012. The statue depicts the Argentine's famous celebration of his goal when he swung his shirt around his head.
Aguero joins his fellow former teammates Vincent Kompany and David Silva in being honoured with statues and his was created in Philadelphia, before being transported to Manchester earlier this month. However, social media has been ablaze since its unveiling with talk that it doesn't actually look much like the retired striker, who sadly had to call time on his career earlier this season due to a heart defect.

Many have suggested that instead of Aguero the statue actually looks like Real Madrid midfielder Kroos and the German appears to agree. On Friday, journalist Simon Stone tweeted a photo from the unveiling of Aguero looking up at his statue counterpart, accompanied with the caption 'Sergio is here.'
Then later in the day, Kroos quoted the tweet to ask: 'Sure?' His remark has gone viral on Twitter, earning more than 39,000 retweets.
Commenting on his own statue, Aguero added: "Truthfully, it is a very beautiful thing for me, to see myself ten years ago is very moving. In those ten years I was able to win a lot of trophies and was able to help the club become one of the most important in the world.
"I am very grateful to the club for making this statue in recognition of my football career in Manchester. It is something very special."
