REAL MADRID ace Toni Kroos has praised the "spectacular atmosphere" he experienced at Celtic Park last night.
The German midfielder pulled the strings for the European champions as they ran out 3-0 winners in Glasgow.
Goals from Vinicius Jnr, Luka Modric and Eden Hazard in the second-half were more than enough for Carlo Ancelotti's side to claim three-points.
The Hoops put up a brave effort during the first-half of the encounter, with Liel Abada and Callum McGregor coming very close to scoring.
However, five-time winner of the competition Kroos and his teammates upped their game after the break and were simply too good for the Scottish champions.
However, the German international was left mightily impressed by the atmosphere created by the packed out crowd in Glasgow's east end.
He told Spanish TV: "The mentality of these people who accept their rivals, it's a spectacular atmosphere.
"We didn't expect an easy game, it's a good team here at home. They've beaten the Europa League finalist 4-0.
"They can play football well, but you had to be calm and in control. It's a deserved win.
"We're a team that can sometimes not have the ball and attack. The result is the result of the game we play."
