Real Madrid centre back Éder Militão has been forced to withdraw from Brazil's upcoming World Cup qualification matches against Ecuador and Paraguay due to a leg injury. The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) confirmed that Militão experienced muscle pain in his right thigh following a training session and subsequent medical examinations revealed a small muscle injury in the same area.
As a result of this setback, the 26-year-old defender will miss the next two crucial fixtures for Brazil. This injury comes as a blow to Militão, who had already faced a significant layoff last season due to a torn ACL.
Militão is not the only Real Madrid player dealing with injury concerns at the moment. Midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni and left-back Ferland Mendy had to withdraw from the French national team due to injuries sustained during Madrid's recent victory over Real Betis.
