Real Madrid have reportedly promised Brazilian wonderkid Endrick that they will not sign Manchester City striker Erling Haaland if he decides to join them.
Palmeiras forward Endrick, 16, is considered one of the best football prospects in the world and is on the radar of Europe’s top clubs. His list of admirers includes a number of clubs in the Premier League - including Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal. Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are also among the frontrunners.
Endrick has shone for the Brazilian club’s youth teams and netted three goals in seven senior appearances for Palmeiras as his stock continues to rise. Now it has emerged he does not want to play at the same club as Haaland, despite mimicking the Norwegian’s trademark celebration after scoring his maiden senior goal in October.
Endrick has scored countless goals at youth level to help Palmeiras win plenty of trophies. The prolific striker was named as the Player of the Tournament when they lifted the Copa Sao Paulo de Futebol Junior - a Sao Paulo-based youth cup - earlier this year. He is thought to have a £51million release clause at Palmeiras – which Real Madrid are willing to pay.
It has now been reported by Marca that the teenager’s entourage have made a specific request to Real Madrid, who have held informal talks about the conditions under which they would consider signing the teenage sensation.
The Brazilian’s representatives have informed the Spanish giants that one of their key desires is that Real Madrid do not sign Haaland if they are able to conclude a deal for Endrick. That is because they believe the two players have playing styles that are too similar and would be detrimental to the teenager.

Endrick will celebrate his 18 th birthday in the summer of 2024, the age at which he would be able to join Real Madrid’s senior squad, at which point Haaland will be aged 24. There is concern that both players being at the same club would hamper the Brazilian’s development and prevent him from reaching his potential.
Madrid are said to have been receptive to the proposal as, despite being aware of Haaland’s talents and that he will be available for transfer in the summer of 2024 due to a clause in his Manchester City contract, they hold reservations over any deal.
Primarily, Real Madrid believe Haaland’s wages would not fit into their wage structure alongside concerns that he will be reluctant to commit to a long-term project and furthermore, there are doubts over the Norwegian’s injury record in recent seasons.
