A real-life Rapunzel has hair longer than her entire body that she has spent her entire life growing out.
Alla Perkova has 64 inches of hair and as she stands just five-foot three-inches tall herself, her hair is taller than she is.
The 37-year-old Ukrainian from Odessa, has gained over 30,000 followers on her Instagram account as a result of her incredibly long hair.
Because of it she’s been dubbed a ‘real life Rapunzel’.
She said she was inspired by her mother, Maria’s own waist-length hair, and has grown used to its length.
She prides herself on her long locks and takes immense care of it, washing it every two days.
The hair has even gained her some A-list attention in the form of Candice Swanepoel and Jared Leto who are fans of her.
She met Jared Leto on her honeymoon, and she said he was in awe of her amazing hair, while model Candice Swanepoel shared a photo of Alla's hair on her own Instagram account.
Alla loves the response she receives online about her hair and said the only downside was that she occasionally steps on it.
She sometimes turns to her husband, Edward, for help with her hair and he combs it, whilst her mother is proud to have helped her maintain her hair length throughout her life.
Alla wishes to continue modelling, as although she's currently practicing law, she hopes that her long locks will help her to achieve her dream of becoming a full-time model.
"I never thought that this hair length was possible," Alla said.
"Since childhood, I've always loved hair if it is healthy. My mum always had hair down to her waist - I just wanted the same.
"My mother is the ideal of femininity and beauty for me. I wanted to be like her in character and appearance.
"But I didn't think that my hair could grow to the floor and be longer than me.
"It's easy for me to deal with this current length, because the hair grew gradually. I wash my hair once every two days and I only use regular shampoo for normal hair.
"I don't like to apply balms or masks - I use them, but not often. I don't cut the ends of my hair, because I don't like it when it is straight and I don't want the hair to look like a wig.
"Several famous people have admired my hair, including Candice Swanepoel who shared my photo on her account, and Jared Leto who said that he knows that long hair isn't easy to deal with.
"I met him on the Montserrat mountains in Spain, as I was there with my husband on our honeymoon and it just so happens that Jared was climbing there too.”
Despite her famous admirers and loving husband, Alla still receives criticism for her unconventional appearance.
"Some people say that I should cut my hair to a normal length - but nobody knows what that is," said Alla.
"I like my unusual appearance. I am grateful to the Lord, my mother, and my genetics for this. But I always say that hair length is not the main thing, it's health that is important."
