Real Housewives star Hanna Miraftab lifts the lid on her wedding plans

The Real Housewives of Cheshire star Hanna Miraftab will have not one but two wedding ceremonies when she says 'I do' with her fiance Dr Martin Kinsella.

Hanna and Martin are going extra on their big day by having a Christian ceremony in the morning and a Persian ceremony in the afternoon to celebrate their family roots.

Hanna, whose parents are Persian, says it will be a 'wedding with a twist' incorporating two cultures and backgrounds.

She told us: "In the morning will be a traditional Christian church ceremony and in the afternoon will be a traditional Persian ceremony.

"There will be a table set with symbols including a decorated egg representing fertility and candles representing everlasting light.

"We will sit facing the congregation and deliver readings. It's going to be magical.

"And there will be twists including a knife dance which sees the bridesmaids and the bride dance with the knife that cuts the cake.

"It's an ancient tradition and I said 'I'm having that.'"

The wedding, which will take place in Liverpool on Saturday September 14, will feature in the 10th series of The Real Housewives which returns to ITVBe on Monday.

The cameras have been following the journey to the big day including the cake tasting and choosing the bridesmaids dresses made by Hanna's Real Housewives co-star Seema Malhotra's fashion brand Forever Unique.

"Me and Martin are on a reality TV show and it's actually been really nice," said Hanna about the decision to invite cameras in on their special day.

"Weddings are such a special time and everyone is happy and excited.

"Not many people have the opportunity to have moments such as the cake tasting filmed and it will be nice to look back. It's a nice keepsake.

"You only get one wedding day."

Hanna, a dentist who runs Kiln Lane Dental in St Helens, is keeping details of her dress under wraps until the big day, but she told us: "It's beautiful, absolutely stunning.

"I can't wait to put it on."

Hanna studied dentistry at Liverpool University where she first met anti-ageing specialist Martin, the owner of owner of Re-Enhance medical and dental clinic.

It wasn't until 12 years on that the former uni friends had a chance meeting in a bar in London and love blossomed in 2017.

"Liverpool is such a special place because it's where we met and it just felt right.

"We went to all these places and everything was judged on the cry-ometer. If I cried it was the right one."

Hanna says plenty of waterproof mascara will be needed on the day because it's bound to be emotional.

"This year I've been through high highs and low lows and the wedding is a symbol of a new chapter for me," she said.

"I've got five bridesmaids and they're my very close friends, friends I've known since I was little.

"My dad is giving me away and I feel like that's the moment I'll burst into tears. My dad is my hero."
