Real Housewives' Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky 'separate' after 27 years

Fans of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will be heartbroken to learn that Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have separated, according to reports.

People Magazine reports that a source has confirmed the split, with them revealing that the couple "have been separated for a while".

The source added that the couple are "still living under the same roof" and "remain amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family".

The couple and their family shot to fame and public prominence when they starred in the first series of RHOBH back in 2010. With them fast becoming a fan favourite fixture on the show.

The couple, who met at a nightclub in 1994, remained on the show for 12 seasons. As of 2022, Kyle was the last remaining original cast member on the hit Bravo show.

Although known for her stint on RHOBH, Kyle started her career on TV in Little House on the Prairie as a kid. With her then starring in the likes of John Carpenter's Halloween, Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends. And to add to her reality TV credits, in 2017, she was a contestant on The New Celebrity Apprentice.

Meanwhile Mauricio is the founder and CEO of The Agency, a company that represents some of the world’s top celebrities. He also works in real estate and even has a Netflix series called Buying Beverly Hills.

Rumours of a breakup swirled earlier this year (NBCUniversal)

The couple got engaged in the same year that they met, with them getting hitched in January 1996. They then welcomed three daughters Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23 and Portia, 15.

The couple celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in January 2021. But things clearly took a turn not too long after considering that they have now been "separated for a while".

Although back in April Mauricio shut down rumours that the couple were going through a rough patch when he said: "We're not getting divorced," while appearing on a podcast. He added: "I mean, it's so dumb."
