All aboard the tractor… the winners are given a tour around Daylesford by farm manager Richard Smith to see livestock such as the legbar hens, a rare Gloucestershire breed. The lifestyle certainly agrees with them as the farm workers collect around 8,000 eggs a week from the organic free-range chickens

Sidney the sheepdog shows off his herding prowess as part of a demonstration. Daylesford keeps four different breeds of sheep, including Cotswold sheep which were introduced to England by the Romans and helped the region prosper with the wool trade. They're now classified as a rare breed

The sun put his hat on (hip, hip, hip hooray) for our reader event on Daylesford farm this summer, so lunch was served alfresco. Delicious food, wine and views of the Cotswold countryside were enjoyed by all. Bliss!
