In a highly anticipated Christmas Day matchup between the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday, the Celtics emerged victorious with strong games from star big man Kristaps Porzingis and All-NBA forward Jayson Tatum.
The game marked the return of Porzingis to the Celtics’ starting lineup, highlighting the considerable impact he has on the team’s dynamics on both ends of the court. The Latvian big man’s ability to exploit size differentials and make efficient post-up plays became a focal point, as was rim protection, where he showed a singular ability to challenge and block shots, even those of LeBron James.
