Shadows of Rose is the big story DLC fans of Resident Evil Village have been waiting for. It picks up from where the main game ended, seeing a teenage Rose Winters exploring the powers she inherited from her father. It’s got a bunch of great areas full of puzzles and more of the game’s great combat, but before you buy, you might want to know just how much gameplay you’re going to be getting out of the deal.
We’ll tell you how long this new story will last and what it adds elsewhere in the game.
How long is RE8 Shadows of Rose?
Like most games, exactly how long it takes depends on what kind of pace you like to play games at. However, there are roughly 3 to 4 hours of content in Shadows of Rose’s story, so you’ll likely finish it in just one or two sessions with it. However, the story isn’t the only thing the DLC gives you.
RE8 Shadows of Rose extra features
This DLC stands out from the main game as you must play entirely in third-person, as opposed to the main game’s first-person perspective. However, with this DLC you can now play the main campaign in third-person too, with it working surprisingly well considering it wasn’t originally designed with that in mind. This alone makes the original game worth replaying once more.
On top of this, it adds a bunch of extra Mercenary missions, including the villains Lady Dimitrescu and Karl Heisenberg, so there’s plenty to keep you occupied once you’re done with the DLC’s story.
