RB Leipzig name Luka Sucic 'price' amid Liverpool transfer links

German side RB Leipzig have reportedly set an asking price for Luka Sucic.

According to the Salzburger Nachrichten, the midfielder can leave the Austrian champions for €20m (£17m) during the upcoming summer transfer window. The report goes on to claim that Liverpool are interested in signing the 20-year-old.

Newcastle United has also been suggested as a potential destination for the youngster, who has claimed four assists in 25 appearances so far this season. Speaking about potential move to the Premier League recently, Sucic refused to be drawn.

"I’ve read some of those stories and that’s all I can tell you about the subject,” he said. “When the time comes for that, we’ll see what happens, weigh what’s best to continue my career.

"It’s mine to play the best I can at the club and the national team and then the transfer will come on its own."

The ECHO reported over the weekend that the Reds will overhaul their engine room in response to issues exposed during a difficult campaign that has left them facing an uphill battle to secure Champions League qualification.

Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund remains the main target, with Chelsea pair Conor Gallagher's and Mason Mount, and Wolverhampton Wanderers' Matheus Nunes also high on the list of priorities.
