RB Kareem Hunt inducted into high school Hall of Fame

The story of Kareem Hunt is an interesting one that is far from over. The Northeast Ohio kid who made a huge impact in college at Toledo before being drafted in the third round of the NFL draft has seen his ups and downs.

Hunt burst on the scene in Kansas City with the most rushing yards in the league in 2017. He was still playing well in his second season when a video surfaced of him assaulting a woman.

The following offseason, the Cleveland Browns gave the homegrown kid another chance despite an eight-game suspension that would later come.

Since then, Hunt has been an important part of both the Browns offense and the community. He has put on charity events and volunteered in the area, embracing a community that has embraced him.

Friday night, Hunt was inducted into Willoughby South High School’s Athletic Hall of Fame for his work on and off the field:

While this may be his last season with Cleveland’s football team, it is likely that Hunt’s impact on the community will continue. Even during his years with the Chiefs, the passionate running back would come home to Ohio during the offseasons.

Hunt’s story is a great one of second chances, hard work and passion. His induction into his high school’s Hall of Fame is well deserved.
