Ray Parlour names only ONE current Arsenal star who would get into Invincibles team

Only one current Arsenal player would get into the club’s historic Invincibles side, according to Ray Parlour: Bukayo Saka.

The 49-year-old was a key part of the Gunners squad that famously went unbeaten in the 2003-04 season, winning the Premier League title just as Mikel Arteta’s men are aiming to do this campaign.

Parlour believes Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey are not quite good enough to the Arsenal line-up of that season but Saka makes the cut.

“In terms of players who could get in the Invincibles team, you have to look at Bukayo Saka, surely.” he said.

“Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka have been very good but I played with players like Gilberto Silva who was very underrated.”

Saka has been on blistering form for Arsenal with six goals and six assists in his 12 league appearances.

Parlour added that the young winger could play either side of an iconic Gunners strike partnership.

“You can't argue with Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp up front,” he stated to opinion website Lord Ping.

“There won't be many players getting in our team but I think Saka would be the one to do that - he's been brilliant this year.

“It'd be very competitive if the current Arsenal team was pushing the teams that I played in.”
