Former Arsenal star Ray Parlour has called Leeds United's reported appointment of Javi Gracia 'a gamble' ahead of the Spaniard's arrival at Elland Road.
The 52-year-old is set to become the Whites new manager after spending eight months of of work following his departure from Qatari club Al Saad last June.
Gracia is perhaps best known for his stint with Watford over an 18 month period which saw him save the Hornets from relegation and reach an F.A Cup final in 2019.
But Parlour claims that Gracia's potential appointment just highlights the plan that Leeds didn't put in place before dismissing former manager Jesse Marsch.

"Well they've [Leeds] certainly got to make a decision quickly, haven't they?" he said on talkSPORT this morning. "After the weekend, two of their main targets have been blocked so you have to have a plan, don't you?
"When you sack managers, you've got to have a plan and say, 'Right, we're going to go for him, go for him' and know that they're available but it seems like Leeds haven't done that.
"Now it looks like they're taking a gamble, of course any manager is a gamble but at least he knows the league. He kept Watford in the Premier League and what an achievement it was getting them to the F.A Cup final.
"I'm glad they've given him the opportunity and they've got to make that big decision."
