The Baltimore Ravens saw wide receiver Zay Flowers dominate the competition during his rookie year in 2023. He broke multiple different franchise records for Baltimore, showing that he can be an impact player in many ways.
When speaking to the media, Flowers was asked about his satisfaction with gaining separation away from defensive backs. He shared that he gets satisfaction from peeling anybody off, which he said was a common theme among wide receivers in general.
“I get satisfaction peeling anybody off. I feel like if any receiver gets in space, or they’re getting separation, they’re going to get satisfaction all day. They want to run routes and win, so yes. I feel like the more separation I get, the more satisfaction [I feel].”
Flowers is already an exceptional route runner, leaving many defensive backs in the dust last season. He hopes to do more of that in his second NFL season as he continues to improve his game in multiple facets.
