The Baltimore Ravens drafted wide receiver Zay Flowers in the first round of the 2023 NFL draft, hoping that he would turn into the best wideout the team has drafted in their history. Flowers has had a sensational rookie year, which has been a big reason why the team’s offense has looked good this season.
Flowers and quarterback Lamar Jackson have established a solid connection over the year, and it has only gotten better with time. When discussing Jackson and his brilliance, he said the quarterback makes his job easier because he knows he’ll run around, allowing him time to get open.
“[Lamar Jackson] makes your job easy, especially if you just run around and get open, because you know he’s going to run around. He’s going to create second plays, probably third plays. He’s going to break a couple of tackles. He makes your job easy.”
Flowers’ 74 receptions rank 21st in the NFL, while Flowers’s 752 receiving yards are good for 40th in the NFL.
