The Baltimore Ravens have a clear need at cornerback as the 2023 NFL draft quickly approaches. While the team employs Marlon Humphrey as their top option at the position, there isn’t much depth behind him at the moment, something that Baltimore could address in the draft.
In his latest 2023 NFL mock draft, Justin Melo of The Draft Network added to the Ravens’ cornerback room in Georgia star Kelee Ringo. Melo mentioned Baltimore’s 26th-ranked defense in terms of passing yards per game in 2022, and that Ringo’s size and athleticism is something that they can take a risk on after the signing of Odell Beckham Jr at the wide receiver position.
“The Ravens allowed a 26th-ranked 232.2 passing yards per contest in 2022. Fielding a better secondary is crucial to competing for the AFC North division title alongside Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals. The Ravens can pass on a first-round receiver after signing Odell Beckham Jr. in free agency. The Ravens love pro-ready prospects who have been battle-tested in the SEC. Kelee Ringo blends size (6-1, 207) with exceptional athleticism (4.36 40-yard dash).”
