The Baltimore Ravens have had a busy 2022 free agency period so far, adding multiple key pieces from other teams that will help them win games in both 2022 and beyond. One of those players is former New Orleans Saints safety Marcus Williams, who inked a five-year, $70 million deal with Baltimore.
On Thursday, the Ravens held an introductory press conference for newly signed free agents in Williams and offensive tackle Morgan Moses. When asked about his mentality when the ball is in the air the 25-year-old expressed confidence, saying that he thinks whenever the ball is in the air it’s his every time.
“When the ball is in the air, I think it’s mine every time. Sometimes I may hit my own teammate, but that’s the cost of doing business. I may take the interception from them, but as long as the other person, other team doesn’t get it, then I’m happy about it. [When] the ball is in the air, I think it’s mine every time.”

Williams is known for his range as a free safety, and has 15 interceptions over the course of his five-year career. He’s a turnover machine, and should give Baltimore plenty of stability on the back end of their defense.
