Ravens release CB Tavon Young

The Baltimore Ravens have a few different ways to clear up some money and create cap space during the 2022 offseason. There were multiple players who could have been released by the team to free up extra room to work with, and on Wednesday Baltimore made a very tough decision.

It was announced by the franchise that they have released cornerback Tavon Young. The fourth-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft out of Temple played in a total of 50 games during his time in the league so far, but it was the injuries that had a major impact on his career in Baltimore. The move will save the Ravens $5.845 million in cap space.

In his career, Young has totaled of 127 tackles, four interceptions, two touchdowns, and two sacks. The Ravens’ organization had high hopes for Young, and they ended up giving end. It appears unlikely that Young will return to Baltimore on a cheaper deal, so he will now hope to make a difference on another team.
