Going into Sunday’s game, Baltimore Ravens running back Keaton Mitchell had only played two snaps all season. But against the Seattle Seahawks, Mitchell, an undrafted rookie out of East Carolina made the most of the 12 snaps he got with a huge breakout performance.
Mitchell finished the game with nine carries on those 12 snaps and racked up a monumental 138 rushing yards. He had a 60-yard run and a 40-yard run with the latter going for a touchdown in the blowout win.

Mitchell had a stellar career at East Carolina. In 2022, Mitchell rushed for 1,452 yards and 14 rushing touchdowns. In three seasons, Mitchell rushed for 3,027 yards and 25 touchdowns. For his career, Mitchell averaged 6.5 yards per carry. The Ravens are a team always on the hunt for talent at running back to take some pressure off of quarterback Lamar Jackson. Mitchell’s speed and explosion give defenses a different look than Gus Edwards and Sunday’s performance should earn him more touches going forward.
