BALTIMORE — For fans of Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, Friday’s episode of Uninterrupted’s “The Shop” offered a unique look at his life on and off the field.
In a 30-minute conversation with multi-hyphenate Donald Glover, actor/writer Quinta Brunson, artist J Balvin, marketing executive Paul Rivera, entrepreneur Maverick Carter and NBA superstar LeBron James, Jackson highlighted his relationship with coach John Harbaugh, his pregame routine with Ravens wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, his desire to become a billionaire and his experience as a Black quarterback, among a host of other topics.
With the Ravens coming off a disappointing 8-9 season that ended with Jackson missing the final four games because of a bone bruise in his right ankle, the 2019 NFL Most Valuable Player opened by sharing his discontent with watching on TV as the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl 56.
“I wanna be in it,” said Jackson, who’s had a championship obsession since his youth football playing days in South Florida. “I’m really not a fan of either team. You know, I wanna be in it.”
